Lucas Digne learns first hand why Everton reportedly want Cengiz Under

Everton left-back Lucas Digne had a game to forget for the French national team last night. The world champions were defeated 2-0 by Turkey in Istanbul in a game in which Digne failed to cover himself in glory.

He lost his man from a free-kick, which resulted in the opening goal. He then found himself isolated at left-back for the second.

Digne was hauled off at half-time by Didier Deschamps and French fans were likely unimpressed.

However, Digne will be able to give a resoundingly positive scouting report on an apparent Everton target.

Cengiz Under was the man who delivered the free-kick for the opener and he also peeled off of Digne to score the second himself.

Throughout the first-half, Digne could not escape the attention of the Roma winger, who put in an excellent display for Turkey.

Everton are reportedly interested in the signature of AS Roma winger this summer. As reported Everton have had a €28 million (£24.8 million) bid rejected for the player.

Digne just found out first hand why Everton should consider paying more than that to secure his arrival this summer.
