Everton are through in the EFL Cup after defeating Lincoln City 4-2 at Sincil Bank last night. In an entertaining affair, the Toffees had to dig deep to get the result they needed in a tough fixture against the ambitious League One side.
The standout player was Lucas Digne.
The Frenchman scored a fantastic free-kick and also set up Richarlison to score Everton’s fourth goal of the game. His contribution caught the eye of one Everton youngster, with Anthony Gordon expressing his delight at Digne’s antics.

But Digne was not ready to miss a chance to praise the teenager. The first-team left-back swiftly responded, praising Gordon for his own wondergoal against Mansfield in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.
