Lucas Bergvall very impressed by ‘outstanding’ Tottenham youngster in 5-1 win over Hearts
It’s safe to say that Lucas Bergvall and his Tottenham Hotspur teammates enjoyed the perfect start to pre-season in their win over Hearts.
Although the first half was a tad slow at times, Ange Postecoglou’s youngsters by and large delivered the goods.
Archie Gray was stunning at centre-back, a completely new role for the 18-year-old recruited from Leeds United.
Jamie Donley too played in an unfamiliar position at left-back, one he also fulfilled in a behind closed doors friendly against Cambridge United last weekend.
Donley got forward well as a full-back and showed his quality with his passing.
And in the second half, linked-away Djed Spence also delivered a brilliant display, perhaps one that could revive his Spurs career.
However, Postecoglou still seemed to suggest that Spence would leave Tottenham, even if he was also impressed.
That being said, it was Mikey Moore who Bergvall was super impressed with after the win.

Both left a selection of emojis, evidently chuffed that their fellow youngster was thriving on the first-team stage.

Of course, Postecoglou is expected to involve Moore in his senior plans this season.
Tottenham are hoping to create space in their squad by selling the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon.
And alongside Bergvall, who may never represent Wayne Burnett’s youth side, Moore should get his shot.
Although it now seems as if Tottenham may failed in attempts to add Desire Doue to their impressive group of youngsters this summer.
