Lucas Bergvall suggests that £25m Tottenham player has been played too often in ‘unfair’ season

Lucas Bergvall has bemoaned the amount of football Tottenham Hotspur players have had to play this season due to the club’s injury crisis.

The teenager travelled to international duty in Sweden without Dejan Kulusevski who’s suffered a foot injury after making 42 appearances by the end of Februa📖ry.

Bergvall has now lifted the lid on how tricky the sꦕituation has been for the Lilywhites and claims it is ‘not human’ the number of matches he and his teammateꦡs have been asked to play.

Lucas Bergvall belieಌves Dejan Kulusevski’s complaints about having toജ play too much football this season have now been proven true following the winger’s injury.

The 19-year-old claims some of Tottenham Hotspur’s players have had to play an unusual amountꦬ of games this se🐬ason due to the club’s injury situation.

The Swede was thrust into the team as Ange Postecoglou’s team lost several key players and the youngster himself has already ma♈de 38 appeaℱrances.

The winger recently spoke about having to play “too many games” and he has since suffered a foot injury having played 42 tim♛es by the end of February.

Bergvall has sympathised with his compatriot’s complaints about p🤡laying too much football and claims that it’s not normal what the team have been through this camꦐpaign.

Bergvall told : “It’s something completely different than what you’re used to. It’s two games every week, away games all over England and Europe. So I understand how he (Kulusevski) thinks, one hu𝓰ndred percent.

“That he’s played more than he might have needed to. Bu𒈔t that’s what it’s like to be a footballer. We had 12-13 players when we had the most injuries, so it is what it is.

“It hasn’t been a fair season, honestly, not for anyone, considering all the injuries 🍬we’ve had. Many have played an incredible number of minutes, which is not human.”

Ideally, Bergvall would have been grဣadually integrated into the team, but instead, Postecoglou has been forced to throw him in at 🌠the deep end.

Luckily, the youngster has proven to be more t꧟han strong enough to compete in the English top flight and has been one of the bright sparks of the season.

When asked about whether he’s concerned about getting injured himself, Bergvall added: “It’s not something I think about very much, I ju🦹st try to take care of my body and do everythi🥀ng I can to be as fresh as possible.”

It’s mid-March and the midfielder has already played double the num🌞ber of matches that he feat൩ured in for Djurgardens IF last term.
