Lucas Bergvall now likened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of Tottenham Hotspur arrival
Tottenham Hotspur may have found something special in Lucas Bergvall.
Spurs have wasted no time in teeing up their first signing of the summer window.
Just hours after the January transfer window ended, Tottenham struck to sign Djurgarden midfielder Lucas Bergvall.
The teenager was expected to join Barcelona before Tottenham hijacked the move, securing something of a coup.
Bergvall will only join up with Tottenham in the summer but the excitement is already building.
Lucas Bergvall compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Djurgarden were in Svenska Cup action this afternoon, taking on Nordic United – a team from the third tier.
This was a thumping 5-0 win for Djurgarden and Bergvall grabbed the headlines with a brace.
The midfielder moved forward to slot home his first of the day to make it 2-0.
Bergvall added number four after the break and this was a moment of outstanding quality.
The 18-year-old picked up possession inside his own half and immediately burst past two players.
Bergvall beat another on his way to the area before dancing past two more and dragging the ball past a defender – as well as the goalkeeper – to tap home.

This was a stunning solo goal and Bergvall has been praised over in Sweden.
As noted by , commentator Peter Backe likened Bergvall to Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his solo goal was reminiscent of the Swedish legend’s goal for Ajax against NAC Breda way back in 2004.
“The last little trick brings to mind a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic,” said Backe, whilst Erik Edman – a Swede and former Spurs left back – added that Bergvall’s second goal was just ‘incredible’.
The level of opponent is a factor here as Nordic United are nothing like what Bergvall will face in the Premier League.
Tottenham fans won’t be under any illusions in that regard but it’s hard not to get excited when seen Bergvall go through the gears with driving runs from midfield.
Skill, grace and a turn of pace, Bergvall looks very exciting and Tottenham fans surely can’t wait to see him pre-season action this summer.
