Lucas Bergvall appears to really impress Tottenham staff at start of pre-season

Lucas Bergvall appears to have wasted little time before impressing the Tottenham Hotspur staff in pre-season, with one moment in the club’s training video seeing the 18-year-old seemingly being labelled ‘unbelievable’.

There is huge excitement amongst Tottenham fans about the prospect of watching Lucas Bergvall in action for the club from next season. Of course, Spurs beat Barcelona to Bergvall’s signature, with the Swede proving to be one of several youngsters to put his faith in Ange Postecoglou and his staff.

His move has been on the cards for several months, but Tottenham fans got their first glimpse of the teenager in Spurs kit this week, as many of the squad headed to Hotspur Way for the start of pre-season. The likes of Archie Gray and Timo Werner were also involved as Tottenham look to build on an encouraging first year under Postecoglou.

But Bergvall may well be the youngster Spurs supporters are most excited about – and it seems that he may be making a bit of an impression on the staff.

Tottenham posted with some of the clips from the first day back, and in one of the tests, it appears that Bergvall is being told by one of the staff, ‘but, unbelievable that you can do that’.

Positive signs as youngster looks to hit ground running at Spurs

Of course, it appears to be a session where players are simply establishing what condition they are returning to pre-season in, so it seems unlikely that the coaches would be going too hard on the squad just yet. But it surely suggests that Bergvall is, at the very least, looking to be raring to go at the start of the summer.

Given that he is arriving from Sweden, there is a question mark over how quickly he will adapt to life in the Premier League, particularly when you consider how thorough Postecoglou appears to be in what he wants from his squad.

It remains to be seen if he can hit the ground running in North London, but it is definitely encouraging that he is impressing at the very start of pre-season.
