In form Lozano has chance to impress against Tottenham
Hirving Lozano has had an excellent start to the season with PSV Eindhoven, proving that his decision to remain in the Eredivisie was the correct one. The Mexican international is thriving in his role as the leader of the attack.
The Dutch champions have been faultless in the Eredivisie this season, winning all nine matches and averaging four goals scored per game. At the weekend, they beat FC Emmen 6-0 and Lozano contributed a goal and two assists.
His season total stands at eight goals and three assists. Lozano is currently the joint top-scorer in the Eredivisie.
The reported earlier this month that Tottenham were interested in the attacker and they will be fully aware of the danger he poses on Wednesday night.
It will be a great opportunity for Lozano to impress Mauricio Pochettino and the Tottenham hierarchy up close. The meeting in the Champions League could be considered an audition for the Mexican.
Tottenham have a number of good attacking options, but Lozano has the potential to be world class. He has already proven himself in the Eredivisie after moving to Europe from Mexico. Wednesday provides him with an opportunity to show he deserves a transfer to a bigger league.
