‘Love you’: Ian Wright and Granit Xhaka react to transfer news coming out of Arsenal late on deadline day
Ian Wright and Granit Xhaka have reacted to Hector Bellerin leaving Arsenal for Barcelona on transfer deadline day.
It has been clear all summer long that Bellerin had no future at the Emirates Stadium but his protracted exit rumbled on and on.
For a while, he looked set to move permanently to Real Betis, the club with whom he spent the previous season on loan.
But he has now gone back to the Camp Nou, where he came through the ranks before making the move to England to play for Arsenal.

That emotional connection to the club was reflected in the Instagram post which Bellerin posted after his exit was confirmed late on deadline day.
He is clearly thrilled to be back where it all began, even if Barca are struggling with financial issues and looking to restore their former glory.
He also sent a message to Arsenal fans in a separate post, thanking so many people who have been part of his Arsenal journey.
Current Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka and Gunners legend Ian Wright were among those to leave messages for the defender upon his exit.
While it looked like he would not have played much at Arsenal if he did stay, there is an obvious gap for Bellerin on the right of Barcelona’s defence.
Although he would likely have to take a pay cut to go there, that was the prospect he was facing no matter which move he made when he left north London.
The situation is finally resolved and Mikel Arteta can reflect on another window where he has evolved his Arsenal squad, with outgoings just as important as incomings in that process.
