‘Love this guy already’: Some Tottenham fans react as report claims Paratici priority
Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media after claimed Fabio Paratici is prioritising the transfer of a centre-back this summer.
Tottenham have Paratici will join the north London side as their new Managing Director of Football from July 1. But he has already begun to draw up plans for how to carry out a major revamp of the squad.
Spurs will prioritise the arrival of a new centre-half as they look to overcome the defensive problems of last term. Preferably, the new addition will also be a leader who can orchestrate the backline with several likely leaving.

Juan Foyth has already secured a move to Villarreal for £13m after spending last season on loan with the La Liga outfit. Tottenham will clear part of their wage bill, as well, with Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga among those leaving at the end of their contracts later this month.
Cameron Carter-Vickers is also expected to be sold and could be replaced by Lyon’s Joachim Andersen or Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic. Both have been scouted as young leaders, while Spurs have previously watched Juventus’ Merih Demiral.
Tottenham will now target at least one centre-back, although they will explore a second if a senior player leaves. Toby Alderweireld has two years remaining on his contract, while Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier have three years left and Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga four.
Tottenham fans react to Paratici prioritising a centre-back
Tottenham fans reacting on social media to Paratici prioritising the arrival of a centre-back have also vastly agreed. That’s because some share the departing Juventus chief’s belief that the backline must be improved over the transfer window.
But a fair few also believe that more than one centre-back has to be the aim. Otherwise, Paulo Fonseca may struggle as the expected new Tottenham coach, as there are currently too many not up to the standard required.
So, here are some of the messages shared…
