‘Love it’: Andrew Robertson sends message on Instagram in wake of brilliant Liverpool news

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has signed a new long-term contract at Anfield.

The Reds made the announcement on Wednesday, confirming the brilliant news.

According to the , Alisson’s new contract will take him to the summer of 2027.

The Brazil international has the third Liverpool senior player to commit his future to the club in the last week.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho have also put pen to paper over the past few days.

A delighted Alisson has taken to Instagram with a message for Liverpool and the Reds fans:

Alisson has done amazingly for Liverpool since joining in 2018 for a for a goalkeeper.

He has helped the Reds win the Premier League, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Supercup.

And last season, he scored a crucial goal in the race for a Champions League place, a dramatic last-minute winner against West Brom.

In addition, Alisson kept 10 Premier League clean sheets last term, plus a further five in the Champions League.

“I think I didn’t waste too much time to think about that,” he told the Liverpool from their pre-season base in Evian.

“It’s something we just built in those last three years, the confidence, the trust that I have in the club and the club has in myself.

“Me and my family, we are really happy here. My kids are settled in England, in a different country, but they are growing up in that way. So we are really happy.

“I’m really glad that I can keep going on with my work here, doing a good job here. So, I’m really happy to make this decision – that is not hard for me.”
