‘Looking to do’… Mark Guidi makes exciting £20m Celtic January transfer prediction
With the January transfer window approaching fast, Celtic’s recent dip in form has shown that the first-team needs freshening up. And fast.
Brendan Rodgers has continually pressed home the need to bring in quality and according to Mark Guidi, he could be about to do just that.
The journalist was speaking about how Celtic can ‘blitz’ Rangers financially when he said that the Hoops gaffer is looking to spend £20m on three players.
Guidi said [], “The transfer window is absolutely massive. Now financially Celtic have got the muscle, on paper, to go and blitz Rangers.
“Absolutely go and blitz them away in terms of the financial muscle. But it doesn’t always work like that.
“It wouldn’t surprise me to see the club, Brendan Rodgers, bring in three players about the £20 million mark collectively.
“That’s what he’s looking to do.”
The Celtic fans will be seriously hoping that is the case. They have watched an all-conquering treble-winning team surrender the League Cup at the start of the season and, if Rangers win their two games in hand, possibly hand over the top spot in the league without so much as a fight.

Now the injury issues that Celtic have had to deal with so far have been pretty horrific but with the players Rodgers has at his disposal, they should be performing much better than they have.
It does look like they need a spark. Creativity. Something that has been missing since Jota left in the summer.
Is Rodgers likely to get that in January? Doubts have been cast on that, but the Celtic manager must go into this window and tear up trees because if he doesn’t he will hand a £60m Champions League bounty across the city and that will be unacceptable in the eyes of the Celtic fans.
