Long-term Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon shows why he should stick at Fulham

After coming back from the first major injury of his professional career, Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon has produced two excellent substitute appearances.

As the coveted 18-year-old begins to find his feet in the Premier League, it is clear the comfortable environment of Craven Cottage is a boost to Sessegnon’s development.

Sessegnon’s recent displays reveal why the winger should remain at Fulham and reject any Tottenham interest for the time being.

After entering the fray with half an hour to go against Wolves on Boxing Day, Sessegnon made an instant impact and smashed home a goal that put the Whites in front.

Another example of the prodigy’s uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time, Sessegnon’s intelligence in the six yard box is one of his biggest skills.

And on the weekend versus Huddersfield, Sessegnon slipped Aleksandar Mitrovic through with an inch-perfect through ball for the winning strike.

Both moments showed Sessegnon’s Premier League quality, marking a recent uptick in his attacking production under Claudio Ranieri.

As a result of the faith the manager has in him and the support of the crowd and the club as a whole, Sessegnon has flourished in SW6.

All of his success would have been far harder to imagine at Spurs, where his playing time would be severely limited and his rare chances filled with pressure.

Ryan Sessegnon should remain at Fulham for the foreseeable future and continue his impressive development.
