Loan boss tells Rhian Brewster how he can force his way into Liverpool first-team
Recently crowned Premier League champions Liverpool will not be signing Timo Werner this summer. After a long chase, the German is instead on his way to Chelsea, with Liverpool unwilling to pay the big fee needed to sign the Leipzig star in the current climate.
But if Liverpool want to strengthen their attacking options, they can always promote from within.
Rhian Brewster, for example, is ready to get his chance. Back in 2018, when Liverpool were again being linked with Werner, claimed that Jurgen Klopp had decided against the move as he was ready to give Brewster a chance.

Unfortunately, injuries have delayed Brewster’s progress.
But he is currently on loan at Swansea City and in great form. His boss at the Liberty Stadium is Steve Cooper. this week, he has expressed his belief that Brewster has what it takes to become a regular at Liverpool, but he needs to take his chance.
“If Rhian does (make the most of his opportunities), he’ll give himself a good chance.
“It’s up to him. We’re going to give him opportunities here and, as long as he keeps applying himself and performing as he is, he will get good game time with us.
“In the end with young players it’s one thing giving them opportunities, it’s another thing taking them. That’s what gets players to the level they end up at.”
Liverpool fans will certainly be hoping that Brewster can live up to his hype. Klopp is known to be a fan. ‘I love the boy,’ he told the press in 2019, . He went on to call the 20-year-old ‘fantastic’ and a ‘top talent’.
Hopefully, the striker can turn his excellent form at Swansea into first-team opportunities with the Premier League champions next season.
