Liverpool’s reported interest in McKennie must spark Keita into life
Liverpool are contemplating a £20 million move for promising Schalke midfielder Weston McKennie.
the Reds could either launch a bid for him in one of the next two transfer windows.
McKennie has began to make a name for himself over in the Bundesliga with some exciting all-action displays in midfield. This season he has made 13 appearances, following the 22 he made last term in his breakthrough campaign.

The USA international has been harbouring a reputation for being a versatile midfielder, capable of holding, attacking or playing box-to-box.
He has supposedly caught Jurgen Klopp and his team’s attention, and there’s one man who might have to step up his game if the interest develops into anything more.
Underperforming Keita must step up
With McKennie a supposed target, Naby Keita may be feeling the pressure after failing to live up to his billing so far at Anfield.
Keita has been in and out of the side trying to get to grips with the rough and tumble of English football.
McKennie is arguably most similar to Keita out of all of Liverpool’s current midfield options.

Keita is able to play multiple different roles in central midfield, but his form has been poor following his £52.75 million switch from RB Leipzig.
McKennie has been described as an ‘aggressive leader’ by Schalke boss Domenico Tedesco, and has previously been likened to Sami Khedira ().
