Liverpool would love to sign ‘fantastic’ player Arsenal have been ‘serious’ about buying
Liverpool are in the market for a new centre-back this summer.
𒆙The Reds have been linked to the likes of Leny Yoro as of late, while Goncalo Inacio has also been named as a target.
Speaking on Forest Fan TV, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Liverpool’s𓆏 search for a centre-back, and he shared some interesting insight into the Reds’ plans.
Jacobs stated that Ajax’s Jorrel Hato🌱 is a player Liverpool would love to sign, but the Reds feel as though the ‘fantastic’ defender wants to stay at Ajax for now.

🐠Jacobs shared what he knows about Liverpool and the young defender.
🌸“Yeah Liverpool do want a centre-back in that position and it would be a surprise if the window shuts and they don’t get one. They would’ve loved to get Jorrel Hato from Ajax early in the window, Arsenal were looking at him too, but it never materialised because they felt the player would stay at Ajax, and Arsenal were more serious, but they felt exactly the same thing,” Jacobs said.
Liverpool move would make sense for Hato
Jorrel Hato is a wanted man.
Arsenal have been linked with Hato for agesꦍ, but perhaps a move to Liverpool makes more sense.
🔥Indeed, if Hato headed to Anfield he’d be working under his fellow countryman in Arne Slot and a coach he knows well in Johnny Heitinga.
ꦿMeanwhile, he can learn all about life at Anfield from his current teammate, Jordan Henderson.
💎This one hasn’t come to fruition this summer, but don’t be shocked if Liverpool ultimately do revisit this move for Hato in the future when he is ultimately ready to leave the Johan Cruyff Arena.
