Liverpool will love what Frankfurt fans are making clear about Hugo Ekitike after £78m deal is confirmed

Liverpool have completed their fourth summer signing in Hugo Ekitike and they look to have got a great player on their hands.

The Merseyside club are not resting on their laurels as Premier League champions, making some incredible additions to Arne Slot’s squad.

The 23-year-old becomes the latest player to arrive at Anfield this summer, and it appears as though they are not done just yet.

But with Ekitike, it appears as though they have got a very likeable player, who left Frankfurt supporters all issuing the same message.

Frankfurt fans hail Hugo Ekitike’s commitment after he joins Liverpool

Frankfurt fans are gutted to see Hugo Ekitike leave for Liverpool and have taken to social media to praise the striker’s commitment during his time at the Deutsche Bank Park.

The Merseyside club announced the signing of the Frenchman on Wednesday evening, and he is now due to link up with his new teammates in Hong Kong.

Liverpool sign Ekitike in a deal worth £78m, taking their total spend for this summer’s transfer window to around £295.5m.

The Reds hijacked Newcastle’s move for Ekitike and now have their own new number nine arriving at Anfield.

Slot’s team are seemingly getting not just a great striker but also a great character with Frankfurt fans praising him as a person on X.

One fan said: “Thank you for the past one and a half years and every single goal! Only the best for the future!”

“He gave his all for Frankfurt in one and a half years, and that’s all that matters. Best of luck in Liverpool, and here’s to a soon reunion at the Waldstadion. Ideally, right in the Champions League,” claimed another.

There was further praise for the striker: “I am really very sad that we have lost such a great positive player. Thank you for everything, Hugo. Wishing you much success at your new club, Liverpool.”

Finally, another added: “Dear Hugo! Thank you for everything you have achieved as an eagle bearer. It would have been nice if you had stayed longer, but you left with dignity, and you will always be in the minds and hearts of all Eintracht supporters! You are simply likeable, All the best!”

Liverpool fans should be very excited about the talented, young striker’s arrival, but the farewell message from the German club’s supporters should fill them with even more delight at this addition.

Rodrygo Goes is not currently a realistic target for Liverpool

James Pearce is reporting that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes is not currently a realistic target for Liverpool.

No talks have yet taken place to bring the Brazilian forward to Anfield, and another £78m deal looks unlikely, at this stage.

TBR Football understands that Bayern Munich are preparing another offer for Luis Diaz, which could be worth around £69 million.

The Bavarians are confident that their next bid for the Colombian winger will be enough to get the deal done.

Should Diaz move to the Allianz Arena, it will be interesting to see how Liverpool react in terms of incomings.
