Liverpool trickster Harry Wilson shines in win, gets 7/10 for ‘awesome’ display

Harry Wilson is currently relishing the chance to play first-team football on loan at Cardiff City and the player on loan from Liverpool was in fine form at the weekend.

That move never transpired though and instead, he returned to his homeland to try and help Cardiff to promotion.

He has played just twice for Liverpool having risen through the academy ranks at Anfield.

At the weekend he shone during the comprehensive rout and drew praise from

They awarded him a 7/10 for his performance and in their player ratings piece: “After a quiet game in midweek, Wilson was back creating and exciting once again. Still not at his rip-roaring best but another encouraging display. Two brilliant corners produced as many goals, his quality of service is awesome.”

TBR View – Wilson will still hope to impress Jurgen Klopp

Any player on the books at Liverpool will be desperate to impress the manager and that won’t be any different for Wilson.

He’ll be desperate to take the Championship by storm and show Klopp that he was wrong to let him out on loan.

That hasn’t happened just yet but there is, of course, still time.

Wilson is a bag of tricks and his delivery into the box from set-pieces is the envy of most players in the Championship.

The youngster is paid at Anfield and his contract runs until 2023 there.

He will need to improve on his two goals and three assists so far but Saturday showed signs of optimism fro Wilson.
