Liverpool tipped to sign £40m Premier League star in late move before deadline day
Liverpool still haven’t made a single signing in this summer transfer window as the new season gets underway.
The Reds have been completely inactive in the market so far, but, with just 10 days in the window to go, things are starting to heat up on the rumour front.
Liverpool have been linked to a number of players this summer, and Anthony Gordon has been strongly linked with the Reds for a long time now.
Speaking on the , Ian Doyle has been discussing Liverpool’s recent links to Jarrad Branthwaite, and he also touched on Gordon in this discussion.
Doyle says that he was very convinced that Gordon would join Liverpool, and he still is convinced this deal will be done, although he conceded that it is now looking less likely than it once did.

Anthony Gordon to Liverpool could still happen
Doyle shared his verdict on the £40m man and his links to Liverpool.
“They need another centre-back. Yeah, Branthwaite, let’s be honest, nothing surprises me anymore. If he ends up at Liverpool from Everton it wouldn’t be expected, but it wouldn’t be a massive surprise for me, but that’s just me,” Doyle said.
“You said this about Anthony Gordon didn’t you?” Doyle was asked.
“Yeah, I was very convinced by that, and, to be honest, I still am, but as we get towards the deadline the less likely it looks like it will be this summer.”
Anthony Gordon deal could still be possible
Anthony Gordon to Liverpool has been rumoured all summer long, and a deal could still be possible.
The Reds haven’t spent a penny this summer, and we know the Merseyside club have plenty of cash to spend after making a £111m bid for Moises Caicedo last summer and making a decent sale this summer in the shape of Fabio Carvalho.
Liverpool have a lot of money and are big fans of Gordon, so don’t be shocked if a deal is struck before deadline day.
