Liverpool think they can sign Alexander Isak but they definitely won’t pay one fee to make the move happen
The mere thought of Liverpool adding Alexander Isak to their roster would send shivers down the spines of their domestic rivals.
Isak’s chances of leaving Newcastle are considered 50-50 for the time being.
TBR Football exclusively uncovered in March that Liverpool are confident about signing Isak and are willing to splash the cash to sign him in the summer.
The Reds also believe that they would beat Arsenal in a race for the Swedish striker’s signature.
However, even for a player of the ilk of Alexander Isak, it is important for Liverpool and any of his suitors to set a fee beyond which they are unprepared to break the bank.

Liverpool unwilling to pay £150 million to sign Alexander Isak
Considering even some of the best defenders in the Premier League such as Liverpool target Dean Huijsen consider Isak the “complete striker”, Newcastle will have too much leverage while demanding a fee for him.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now revealed that Liverpool are unwilling to pay a fee of £150 million to sign Isak.
Jacobs said on GiveMeSport’s Market Madness show: “With Liverpool, I’m hearing they’re not going to drop £150 million for Isak. But they’ll bid if he becomes genuinely available at a lower number. But they also love Hugo Ekitike and Joao Pedro.”
Liverpool recently scouted Hugo Ekitike, which proves Jacobs’ point that all the interested clubs in Isak are looked at alternatives as they are aware Newcastle’s stance about keeping him will not change for now.
“Nobody [all of Isak’s suitors] feels like Newcastle’s position is going to change now. Let’s see in June. Let’s see in the final weeks of the window towards September if anything changes but right now, all of these teams, Liverpool included have other targets because it’s not apparent that Isak will become genuinely available.”
How Mohamed Salah could help the Reds sign Alexander Isak
Over a week ago, it was revealed by TBR Football that Mohamed Salah could help Liverpool sign Isak as the Reds are of the belief that the Egyptian’s recent contract extension could prompt him to move to Anfield.
Arne Slot would like Isak at Liverpool and with Virgil van Dijk having penned a new deal as well, the Premier League champions-elect look like an attractive landing spot for any player.
