Liverpool think it’s impossible to sign ‘amazing’ Premier League player this summer
Liverpool have realised that it won’t be possible for them to sign one rival Premier League player.
The Arne Slot era has begun at Anfield, and the Dutchman is set to implement his own ideas on the Reds, who have been so used to Jurgen Klopp‘s methods over the years.
Slot is expected to sign a fewꦬ new players as well, and many feel a new defender is the priority going into the summer transfer window.

Chelsea star Levi Colwill has been on Liverpool’s radar for a long time.
The Reds were heavily linked with a mo💯ve to sign him in the summer of 2023 following a very successful loan spell at Brighton andꦦ Hove Albion.
The Blues managed to secure his future by tying him down to a long-term contract, and that has put them in a veꦡไry strong position in potential transfer negotiations.
Liverpool’s interest, however, hasn’t gone away. The Merseysiders still really like Colwill and would love to sign him.
However, t𝔍he Reds have apparently realised that a deal to sign the talented English defender is impossible in 2024.
That’s accord💫ing to Ben Jacobs, who has revealed that Liverpool are focusing on other targets now after accepting defeat in their attempts to sign the ‘‘ Colwill.
He told : “He’s misseᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚd out o✱n the EURO squad. And even though the player [Colwill], if he can’t get into the England setup – or if for whatever reason he’s not playing regularly at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, or playing out of position – he may start to at least look at options.
“But the Chelsea stance is very much an automatic reje𒅌ction at this point for summer 2024, and Liverpool know that, so they are not engaging. All of the noise is obviously coming from elsewhere because Liver🌼pool are entirely focused on other targets.
“Again, it’s not becauseꦕ they don’t appreciate Colwill, it’s because they 🌟simply don’t think that anything is possible in 2024.”

Colwill would’veꦉ been ideal for Live꧙rpool. but that move will not happen this summer. So, the Reds have to look elsewhere to strengthen their defence.
Joel Matip will be released by the Reds, while Virgil van Dijk is not getting any younger. Liverpool are expecting offers for Joe Gomez too and Ibrahima Konate is attracting interest from PSG.
