Liverpool star Neco Williams shines in win, gets 8/10 for ‘superb’ display

Liverpool talent Neco Williams was given a decent rating by after Wales defeated the Republic of Ireland 1-0 yesterday afternoon.

The Reds youngster played the full 90 minutes at right wing-back and helped Robert Page oversee a Nations League victory.

Williams’ performance will offer a timely boost to Jurgen Klopp, with Liverpool struggling with injuries in defence.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are all currently out injured.

The teenager is deemed a potential future star by the coaching staff at Anfield and it’s now up to him to prove as much.

Williams is another academy graduate to be handed a chance under Klopp and with some strong performances, he could earn more opportunities in the future.

With Liverpool’s injury list growing, this performance on the international stage looks a timely one for Klopp.
