Liverpool should now make a move for Premier League star Arne Slot called ‘incredible’ after watching him at Anfield
In recent weeks, Liverpool have shown their ambition to continue hitting newer heights under Arne Slot by tying Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk to new contracts.
Salah appreciates Richard Hughes after signing his contract for persuading FSG to hand him a new and improved deal as it seems like the hunger to win at Anfield comes from top to bottom.
But in case the Reds suffer a decline next season, fingers could well be pointed at Arne Slot and while there are no signs to suggest there will be a fall from grace, a failure to make moves in the summer could halt their progress.
Slot is aware of how much quality the Premier League possesses, detailing West Ham United have players who are good enough to play for them via : “They have players that can play for us and you don’t see that in the Italian league, you don’t see this in the Spanish league, you don’t see this in the Eredivisie.”
After Liverpool beat West Ham 2-1 last week, Arne Slot called Mohammed Kudus “incredible” and used the same word to describe Lucas Paqueta’s magisterial display — which could suggest he was referring to the Hammers pair.

Liverpool should try to sign West Ham star Mohammed Kudus
Out of the two, Kudus is who Liverpool should hand Arne Slot the chance to work with next season.
TBR Football recently revealed that West Ham are ready to sell Kudus in the summer to fund Graham Potter’s rebuild at the London Stadium.
On paper, Mohammed Kudus might simply be viewed as a potential understudy to Mohamed Salah due to playing much of his football on the right-wing.
However, at Ajax and for Ghana, the 24-year-old has looked excellent as an attacking midfielder.
While Dominik Szoboszlai has impressed at Liverpool, he is far from being a creative number 10 unlike Kudus, who has the dribbling, passing range and technical quality to thrive behind the striker.
While Szoboszlai’s athleticism is worth its weight in gold, the Ghanaian international is one of the strongest players in the Premier League and has the pace to get around the middle of the park as well.
Liverpool were keeping tabs on Kudus anyway during the January transfer window and the former Ajax attacker’s versatility would make him a vital player under Arne Slot — who could deploy him as an attacking midfielder, even deeper and on the right-wing for Liverpool as well.
What has Kudus said about Liverpool?
The only gripe for the Merseyside-based club could be that the West Ham technician’s release clause is worth just over £80 million but for such a well-rounded profile who has experience in the Premier League and the Champions League and such an upside to his game might be worth the investment.
As for Kudus’ dip in form this season goes, the Irons have been poor as a whole and it is important to remember that Georginio Wijnaldum was not at his brilliant best when Liverpool snapped him up from Newcastle United in 2016 — being a part of a Magpies side that suffered the drop.
The two-time Eredivisie winner holds the Reds in high regard, claiming after his recent trip to Anfield that they are the best team in England, saying via : I’m very proud of the team and everyone because we gave it our all. We knew playing at Anfield against the best team in the league was going to be a tough challenge, but I think everyone stood up against it for the whole game. It’s just the last part, the last piece of concentration in the game, and we lost it from a set-piece.”
