Leaving Liverpool is the right move for Van den Berg
Van Den Berg was hailed as an ‘incredible’ player by former Presto📖n North End teammate Gregg Cunning𒊎ham during his loan spell at the club and has developed admirably over the last couple of seasons.
However, with Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Jarell Quansah and Joe🔴 Gomez ahead of him in the pecking order, he is unlikely to get game time at Liverpool unless they face an injury crisis.
From Liverpool’s standpoint, a £25m fee for a player who is their fifth-choice central defender at best is a deal 💖they can’t refuse.
