Liverpool said to have clinched ‘outstanding’ signing in ‘done deal’
Liverpool are likely to be busy over the next few days ahead of transfer deadline day.
The Reds remain the only Premier League club yet to make a signing this summer, which has led to concern among some fans.
Liverpool were in pursuit of Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi earlier this month, but he opted to stay put at the Liga club.
However, the Reds appear to have made significant progress in pursuit of a different player, albeit one for the future as opposed to this summer.
Now, it has been reported that Liverpool have in fact completed the deal for said player.

Liverpool said to have secured Giorgi Mamardashvili signing
The player in question is Giorgi Mamardashvili, who plays in goal for Spanish club Valencia and for the Georgia national team.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old over the past few weeks as they look to secure the signature of Alisson Becker’s successor.
Now, Georgian journalist Lasha Kokiashvili has reported that Mamardashvili to Liverpool is now a done deal.
The Euro 2024 ace will stay put at Valencia on a season-long loan, added Kokiashvili.
It was previously reported that Mamardashvili was set to join Premier League rivals Bournemouth on loan after going on Liverpool’s books.
However, he apparently snubbed a move to the south coast and will instead stay put at the club where he’s currently plying his trade.
Mamardashvili, who helped Georgia reach the Euro 2024 knockouts in their first even major tournament, will reportedly cost Liverpool around £30million.

Liverpool planning for the long-term but short-term issues remain
Mamardashvili is a quality player who Ange Postecoglou described as “outstanding” during (26 June) at Euro 2024.
There’s no doubt that the 23-year-old is a good signing for the future, and Liverpool deserve credit for their long-term planning.
However, the Reds could do with making additions in certain areas this summer, like defensive midfield and centre-back, and it remains to be seen who they could sign in the next week.
