‘What a baller’: Liverpool fans buzzing over Rhian Brewster in Tranmere demolition

Liverpool kicked off their pre-season campaign with a comprehensive 6-0 win over League One Tranmere Rovers.

The Reds were in emphatic form and the win came courtesy of goals from Rhian Brewster (2), Nathaniel Clyne, Curtis Jones, Divock Origi and Bobby Duncan.

Liverpool’s challenge when the season gets underway will be to win their first Premier League title.

Last season they claimed 97 points but were pipped to the post by a sensational Manchester City outfit who won the league by a single point.

One man who was mightily impressive last night was the young talisman, Rhian Brewster.

The 19-year-old missed the majority of last season with a serious injury problem but did return to the bench for the latter stages of the campaign.

With Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane all missing last night due to their international exploits, Brewster was handed the chance to shine.

The academy graduate didn’t disappoint.

His two goals were taken really well and Liverpool fans were buzzing with his overall performance at Prenton Park.

Here is a selection of tweets from Liverpool supporters following a clinical brace from the young starlet:
