Liverpool remain intent on signing ‘exceptional’ £58m Brazil international
Liverpool are still monitoring a highly-rated Brazil international.
The Reds are yet to sign a player this summer transfer window but business is now expected to ramp up ahead of the fast approaching Premier League season.
A central defender is thought to be among the priority areas Arne Slot wants to strengthen after the departure of Joel Matip on a free transfer.
With that said, Liverpool remain intent on signing a defender who’s excelled in Serie A.

Liverpool intent on signing Gleison Bremer
According to Italian outlet , Liverpool are continuing to show an interest in Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer.
The Reds have been in talks to sign Bremer for much of the transfer window, though, Juve want to keep him at the club.
That’s not deterred their pursuit as there’s still a chance that stance could soften if a bid of around £58m arrives.
The 27-year-old, who has been capped five times Brazil international, has been labelled as ‘exceptional’ () and is considered one of the best defenders in Serie A.
Goncalo Inacio an option
Sporting Lisbon’s Goncalo Inacio is also thought to be an option for Liverpool this summer.
TBR Football reported earlier this month that Inacio’s price tag had been slashed to £38m, so that could tempt The Reds to make a move as the window progresses.
His teammate Ousmane Diomande may become a viable target, too, as Sporting look to move one of them on.
In other news, Alexis Mac Allister has shared what former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has just messaged him.
