Jurgen Klopp says every manager would want ‘exceptional’ Liverpool midfielder Fabinho
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has been speaking ahead of this weekend’s game with Aston Villa and was full of praise for his Brazilian midfielder, Fabinho.
The classy central midfielder has been at the heart of things for Liverpool in the last few years. Last season, he moved into central defence with ease and at that time, Klopp was once again full of praise for his man.
This season, the Brazilian has been back in his preferred central midfield role. And to say he’s been outstanding would be an understatement of mammoth proportions. In fact, barring Mo Salah, some would argue that Fabinho is the Reds’ most important player.
And ahead of the clash with Villa today, Klopp was full of praise for Fabinho, insisting managers everywhere would want him.
“Replace ‘most’ with ‘every’ and then it’s probably right. Everybody wants Fabinho in his team,” Klopp told the .
“Is he underrated? Fab is completely fine with that, I’m fine with that. He’s exactly in the club he wants to be, he doesn’t need public praise to increase his value or whatever. It’s all fine. He can have a normal life pretty much, which is cool.
“Exceptional player, absolutely. Is he the best on that position? I don’t know. Who cares? He’s a top, top, top, top, top class player that is hopefully very long at this club and hopefully very good at the weekend.”
Fabinho has already amassed over appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Monaco. He is a regular for Klopp, and has missed just the four games this season.

Salah gets the praise up top, while everyone knows how good Virgil van Dijk is at the back. But in between, Fabinho is one of the very best in the game at what he does. Some would say he is the glue that holds Liverpool together.
He is a brilliant professional, produces in big games, and leads his team with his experience and quality. A fully fit Fabinho, in the right position, is vital for the Reds.
If he stays fit all year, then Liverpool have every chance of reclaiming their PL title.
