Liverpool predicted XI v AC Milan: £80,000-a-week warrior and 19-year-old gem to start

Liverpool take on AC Milan at the San Siro tonight knowing that they’re guaranteed top spot in their Champions League group.

The Reds have won all five of their group games so far and tonight’s hosts need to win to have any chance of joining them in the last 16.

Jurgen Klopp will almost certainly make some changes to his team this evening, with Liverpool set to play Aston Villa on Saturday.

Ahead of tonight’s game, we looked at the team that Liverpool boss Klopp might pick.

The Liverpool rearguard

Alisson looks to be in line for a rest and that could see Caoimhin Kelleher handed a Champions League start.

There could also be changes at the back for Liverpool.

Neco Williams and Kostas Tsimikas should replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson respectively.

Nat Phillips has gone from hero to zero and he could earn a rate start tonight too.

Ibrahima Konate should play as Klopp rests Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thiago will likely provide the experience in the midfield three.

Alongside those two, Tyler Morton could be handed a stunning opportunity.

The 19-year-old looks set for a bright future and is slowly being blended into the first team by Klopp.
