Liverpool now eyeing £51m star likened to Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool have been linked with Villarreal’s Alex Baena ahead of the January transfer window.

According to , Jurgen Klopp‘s Reds are among𒊎 those teams showing an interest in the 2🦄2-year-old.

Liverpool – and a host of othe𓆉r big English clubs – have apparently watching Baena൩ closely over the last 12 months or so.

The Reds are reportedly up against the likes of Arsenal, Manchest﷽er City, Aston Villa and Barcelona in pursuit of the Spain in🅷ternational.

Baena, who reportedly has a £51million release clau🎶se, has made♓ a real name for himself since breaking into the Villarreal team last season.

He registered 12 goals and six assists from 48 𓆏outings in all competitions.

His efforts led Ja🎃cek Kulig of to des🌱cribe him as “one of the biggest revelations in Europe this season”.

Baena has kicked on this season, with four goals aﷺnd six ꧟assists to his name from 20 club outings.

He also made his Spain debut in September, 🌱scoring in t🍰he 6-0 Euro 2024 qualifying win over Cyprus.

All in all, Baena looks like a good shout for Liv🌳erpool. He’s a top talent with his whole career ahead of him, and is also very versatile.

Although he has mostly been playing on the left flank, he has also featured in central midfꦅield, at No. 10, as a second striker, and on the right ✅wing.

In a different post, Kulig likened Baena to Liverpool cult hero Philippe Coutinho and rate🌌d his potential at 9 out of ♓10.

His strengꦜths include pace, dribbling, passing, visio🥃n, technique, agility, flair, and first touch.

Liv꧒erpool could certainly do with addi🎶ng more midfielders to their ranks, and Baena seems to fit the bill.
