Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has right to be frustrated after snub against Everton
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita was once again left on the bench for Liverpool – this time against Everton in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp decided to ring the changes for Wednesday’s visit of the Toffees, with Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson all left to start on the bench.

In their places were Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana.
James Milner was also drafted in to deputise for the injured Fabinho.
Klopp’s changes were certainly justified in the end with the Reds running out 5-2 winners at Anfield.
It was all smiles at the end of the game, but one man who may feel slightly aggrieved is Keita, who wasn’t even brought on as a substitute.
TBR’s view – Lallana over Keita a kick in the teeth
If Klopp was going to ring the changes, Keita must have felt he’d be a shoo-in to start the Merseyside Derby.

But the manager opted to go with Lallana who, to his credit, had a good game as an attacking midfielder.
But arguably he hadn’t shown much to warrant that start, and Keita is in desperate need of minutes.
Perhaps the Merseyside Derby would have been an intense game to be thrown into, but the Toffees have been in rotten form and it should have been his chance to take.
