‘Gave his all’: Liverpool fans react as Lucas Leiva responds to official club tweet
Liverpool have started the 2019/20 campaign in solid style, claiming three wins from their first three outings against Norwich City, Southampton and Arsenal.
The Reds have picked up where they left off last season when they won the Champions League title for the sixth time in their history.
Jurgen Klopp knows it will be tough to topple Manchester City but he knows he will have to find a way to do so if Liverpool are to claim that elusive Premier League crown.

Today marks the anniversary of a former player making his debut for the club and it turns out he is still a big follower of Liverpool’s fortunes.
Lucas Leiva made his debut for the Reds on this day back in 2007. He came on as a substitute during a 4-0 win over Toulouse in the qualifying round of the Champions League.
Liverpool tweeted their former player regarding that memorable day 12 years ago:

Lucas actually took the time to respond to the club’s official twitter and express his delight at the club currently doing well on the pitch:
LFC forever … happy to see the club doing so well

The 32-year-old signed for Lazio in 2017 and has made 85 appearances since his arrival.
He made 346 appearances for Liverpool during a 10-year spell at Anfield and proved a very popular figure with the supporters.
Following his tweet back to the Premier League club, supporters have sent their own memories to the midfielder:
