Apparently scouts have identified the 23-year-old as an ideal backup to number one Alisson Becker.

Cakir recently made his debut for the Turkish national team, after impressed over the course of his 25 appearances for Trabzonspor, in which he kept seven clean sheets.
Earlier this year, the 6ft 3in star’s agent Engin Kirkpinar claimed the Reds were keen, along with Schalke and Lille ().

With Simon Mignolet having been linked with a move away from the club this summer, it is little surprise to see Liverpool looking at replacements.
