Liverpool legend suggests Tottenham duo for Reds

Liverpool legend John Aldridge thinks Jurgen Klopp should target Tottenham Hotspur duo Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son, amid ‘uncertainty’ over the futures of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

Egyptian forward Salah had been linked with a surprise move to Juventus or Real Madrid, the player thinks the time is not right to depart Anfield.

Mane has also reportedly been eyed by Real and German champions Bayern Munich.

It is highly unlikely that either would leave this summer following the club’s fantastic 2018/19 season which culminated in Champions League glory.

In the eyes of Aldridge though, Klopp should go after two men who shared the field with Salah and Mane in Madrid two weeks ago if they left.

: “Moura is a tricky forward who could slot into the team if any of the front three were out and the same could be said of his team-mate Son Heung-min, although I would be surprised if Spurs allowed the South Korean to leave after his outstanding season.”

TBR’s view

Son (£22 million from Bayer Leverkusen, ) and Moura (£23 million from PSG, ) are two of the most dangerous forwards in the Premier League.

If one of Salah and Mane left then either would be a superb replacement – Son in particular.

But it would take a mammoth fee to tempt Spurs into a sale.

The club are trying to get closer to Liverpool in the Premier League and selling them players would not be the way to go about doing that.
