According to , Liverpool have joined the clutch of top Premier League sides monitoring Daniel Jebbison’s situation at Sheffield United but have been dealt a blow.

Jebbison has earned a wealth of admirers of late having broken through into the Blades first-team under interim head coach Paul Heckingbottom, who handed the 17-year-old his earlier this month.

Jebbison’s rise through the ranks in South Yorkshire has put a number of clubs on alert, with recent reports by suggesting Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund had joined Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and Manchester United in scouting the teenager.

Liverpool are now thought to be among the clubs monitoring Jebbison’s situation, with the youngster considered as in the country and enjoyed another high earlier in the year by being given his against Wales.

But in a blow to the Reds’ interest and the attentive glares emerging from across Europe, Yorkshire Live add that Jebbison is under contract on a long-term professional deal at Bramall Lane and the ball is firmly in the Blades’ court in terms of his future.

TBR’s view:

Jebbison’s ability to find the back of the net at youth level for Sheffield United had become increasingly clear by his FA Youth Cup ties this season, but few would have expected to see the 6 ft 2 striker score on his first senior start at Everton last weekend.

But Jebbison’s strike proved the interest building his services is well placed, even if it will be more difficult for any side wishing to sign the Englishman with it now shared that he is not available on the cheap as was .

The youngster is also lauded by Heckingbottom for his work rate and awareness in the box, with the interim Blades boss stating via quotes by :

“He has got a work ethic with the ball, a willingness to stretch the game and can get in behind. He knows the role and he likes to score goals. When the ball’s coming in the box, you have seen it, he is on the move in the box and attacking things.”

Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale also : “He’s got a good head on his shoulders, to be honest, for a young lad. He’s hungry and a decent finisher, so I think he’s one for the future for this team.”
