Joao Felix makes claim about Anfield and explains what Liverpool boss did after the game

Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix has told that he was overwhelmed with the atmosphere inside Anfield during his side’s 3-2 Champions League win over Liverpool.

Diego Simeone’s team shocked the stadium by coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2 after extra time and seal their ꦛplace in the quarter-final of the competition.

Felix set༺ up the first, all-important, away goal for Los Rojiblancos and was a men🐼ace throughout for the Liverpool defenders.

The 20-year-old was a £113 million signing for Atletic♍o in the summer, replacing the outgoing Antoine Griezmann who signed for Barcelona.

Although he felt somewhat guilty, he couldn’t help but admire the famou♛s Anfield atmosphere.

“It was incredible. I shouldn’t say it𒆙, but when they scored, seein💃g the stadium and their way of celebrating.

“I had seen th༺is on the television, but seeing it live and being within♏ this great atmosphere… Hardly anyone wins here and we are so happy.”

Admiration

Felix who has endured a stop-start beginning to the Atletico chapter of his career also told reporters what happened when he ca🐼ught up with boss Jurgen Klopp.

“When we cros🐓sed paths I th🐻anked him and he just gave me a big hug.”

Felix 𝓀is one of the brightest youngsters in world footb♕all and many believe Atletico pulled off a real coup when they landed him.

He was constantly threatening when Madrꦰid did break forward last night and never gave the defence a moment’s respit༺e.

Fel🎃ix has six goals and three assists to his name this season and he will hope to bump those numbers up in the final sta൩ges of the campaign.

The youngster could yet have a big say in whether or not Atletico can go on and progress even further iꦺn the Champions League.
