Liverpool have rejected £15m bid for 25-year-old player, the Reds do not want to sell him
Liverpool have reportedly rejected an offer from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
According to the , the East Midlands Reds have tabled an offer of £15million for the Anfield stopper.
However, the Merseyside Reds have dismissed Forest’s approach ‘out of hand’ as they have no intention of selling Kelleher.
The report claims that Liverpool value the 25-year-old at £20million, £5million more than what Forest have offered.
However, Jurgen Klopp‘s club wouldn’t want to sell now anyway, as they’re chasing silverware on four fronts.

With that in mind, Liverpool don’t want to weaken their squad, particularly in a crucial position such as goal, suggested the report.
Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is an ‘exceptional talent’
Kelleher has been at Anfield since 2015 and has proven a very capable deputy for Alisson Becker.
Klopp is a big fan of the Republic of Ireland international, deeming him “exceptional” just two months ago.
When asked if Kelleher would ready to be the number one, the German said, as quoted by : “Yeah, no doubt. No doubt.
“We see him every day in training. He is an exceptional, exceptional talent. Maybe we don’t mention his name often enough, but it is a John Achterberg thing.
“From day one when I am in, he told me this will be our homegrown boy who will make it. Since then, we see every step. He was a boy and now he’s a man. And yeah, top goalie, no doubt.”
You can’t blame Forest for giving it a go, but Kelleher is arguably the best second-choice keeper in the Premier League, besides maybe Aaron Ramsdale at Arsenal.
Selling such a key squad player mid-season, when Liverpool are competing on four fronts and hoping to give Klopp the best possible send-off, would be an act of self-sabotage.
Kelleher may be nominally worth £20million, according to the report, but the 25-year-old’s value to Liverpool in his position and at this stage of the season is virtually priceless.
