Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian sends message to West Ham on Twitter

Adrian has produced a classy touch following Liverpool’s narrow victory over West Ham United on Monday night, by sending his former club a message on Twitter.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have moved another step closer to lifting the Premier League title. But they were given a good scare by David Moyes’s men at Anfield.

It looked set to be a formality for the Reds. Georginio Wijnaldum gave the home side an early lead against the relegation-threatened Hammers.

However, West Ham turned the game on its head before the hour-mark. Issa Diop equalised shortly after Wijnaldum’s opener. And Pablo Fornals put them in front early on in the second-half.

But a calamitous error from Lukasz Fabianski allowed Mohamed Salah to equalise. And it was Sadio Mane who bagged what proved to be the winning goal in the final 10 minutes.

Liverpool have plenty to celebrate. They now sit 22 points clear and arguably have more than one hand on the trophy. Nevertheless, Adrian made sure to spare a thought for his former club.

West Ham missed the chance to move out of the relegation zone. And they not have won in the league since Moyes’s first game following his return.

It will be little consolation for the Irons fans. But Adrian has sent his old side a message on social media, wishing them well for the rest of the season.
