Liverpool fans want to see more of Shaqiri after man of the match display vs Fulham
After suffering relegation with an abject Stoke City last season, you suspect that Xherdan Shaqiri would have been quite content this time around to be a bit-part player in a far superior Liverpool side.
But it appears the Swiss playmaker’s absence was keenly felt in the 2-0 defeat against Red Star in the Champions League last week and he was recalled to the side for the victory over Fulham yesterday.
Shaqiri was initially brought in to offer improved squad depth but his influence at Anfield is growing and that is reflected by the fact he was man of the match against the struggling Whites.

That has seen some Reds fans demand Jurgen Klopp to start the former Bayern Munich man on a more regular basis, especially as the central midfield area has lacked creativity at times this season.
Playing Shaqiri in a 4-2-3-1 is quite an aggressive, attacking formation which might not work against the Premier League’s elite opponents, but there isn’t much doubt that he’s outperforming many of his team-mates in that central area.
We’ve taken a look as these Reds fans call on their manager to give him more gametime…
Start him every match.

He deserves starting in every match.

Keep playing him to get the best out of him. Hopefully Klopp realizes that he is just not a backup player. 🙄
