Liverpool fans want their club to sign RB Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino after 4-3 win
Liverpool were given an almighty scare in their first Champions League match of the season at Anfield last night, by Red Bull Salzburg.
In a match the Reds needed to win having lost their opening match of the campaign against Napoli, they raced into a 3-0 first half lead.
Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson and Mo Salah put the hosts in total control but the gung-ho Austrians put them under real pressure in the second half and nerves began to show.
Hwang Hee-chan, Takumi Minamino and Erling Braut Haaland levelled the scores in that second period, but Salah got Liverpool out of jail and clinched their first European win of the campaign.

There was plenty of talk about Haaland before the game because of his goalscoring form this season but it was Minamino who caught the eye of the Liverpool fans the most, judging by the reaction on Twitter.
Plenty of Liverpool fans want their club to swoop for the 24-year-old, with one describing him as the closest thing he’s seen to Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool’s attacking depth is perhaps still a slight concern and based on his all-round display at Anfield last night, Minamino could add something to Jurgen Klopp’s frontline.
I am sure there'll be plenty of melts in the replies. But winning every game comfortably isn't possible. Tonight is another string to the bow with this latest W for the season ahead.
Fair play to Salzburg. Fearless. Minamino was immense.
