Liverpool fans want £40m-rated Englishman, amid reports Tottenham and Wolves are pursuing move
Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City reportedly want to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Noni Madueke. However, his stunning form has seen his price tag sky rocket to as high as £40million. Liverpool fans, though, want their club to join the race for the English ace.
Madueke, 19, has already scored five goals in seven games during the 21-22 season with PSV looking to qualify for the Champions League. He scored a brace against Ajax in the Johan Cruyff shield, a goal in the first league game and two in CL qualifying. It has seen his value sky rocket.
It comes after Madueke clocked up 17 goal involvements in 32 games for PSV last season – scoring nine and creating eight. Obviously, Madueke is an English talent – having joined PSV in 2018 from Tottenham when he was just 16. It was a brave move, but one that has signifcantly paid off for Madueke.
Premier League clubs are taking notice. Tottenham are the most notable side keen on Madueke – in a sensational move that would see him return to Spurs. Leicester and Wolves are also said to be interested. The report states his price tag is now between £30million and £40million.
Liverpool fans want new signings
Just Ibrahima Konate has been added to a Liverpool side that scraped into the top four last season. However, the Reds have welcomed the return of Virgil van Dijk. Thiago looks fitter and might have a more-involved campaign. Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson are working hard to return.
Liverpool do need additions despite players returning from injury. Can Kostas Tsimikas replace Andy Robertson on the left of the defence? Do Liverpool need another midfielder? Cover up top? Reds fans think so, and they believe additions are needed in the next couple of weeks.
Xherdan Shaqiri is said to have an agreement with Lyon. The Reds are also likely to wave goodbye to striker Divock Origi – so Liverpool could do with an addition in the final third. One that would provide cover, but one that would also get plenty of game time as Liverpool fight on four fronts.
Liverpool fans want Madueke
Madueke is an enormous talent. At the start of the summer, prior to big interest – PSV rated him at £20million. But now the English teen is worth probably double that as interest generates. Liverpool have got to move for Madueke, if they are to do so, now. Otherwise, the price will rise further.
A very Liverpool signing. Expensive, but incredibly young with enormous potential. Much like Konate. If Liverpool can join the race and convince PSV into selling him to Anfield, then Michael Edwards needs to be on the phone. Especially if his asking price is closer to £30million, than £40million.
Many Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to Tottenham, Wolves and Leicester wanting Madueke – and his asking price. Many reckon he would be a brilliant signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer. But some are frustrated that it appears Liverpool are not in the Madueke race.
