Liverpool thrashed fierce rivals Everton 4-1 to keep up the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester City in the hunt for a second Premier League title, with Fabinho in for some praise.

The Reds were comfortable throughout the contest. Mo Salah scored twice, with goals from Jordan Henderson and Diogo Jota helping seal a comprehensive rout.

Demarai Gray got one back for Everton but this was the eighth game in succession that the Toffees haven’t claimed all three points and the heat is on Rafa Benitez.

Liverpool have tasted defeat just once in all competitions this season. Jurgen Klopp has the team playing some lovely football and they quite simply blew Everton away.

It’s become a common occurrence but Fabinho was once again outstanding for Liverpool in the midfield engine room.

He started the game alongside Henderson and Thiago Alcantara and as a three-pronged trio, they simply gave Everton a nightmare through the middle of the park.

Fabinho has been a consistent performer in the Liverpool ranks. When he picked up an injury last season, Klopp’s team desperately missed his quality.

The midfielder has madefor Liverpool and he’s currently considered as one of the first names on the team sheet.
