Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita looked impressive off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The Reds were held by rivals Man United at Old Trafford. But it was a late goal from Adam Lallana that rescued a point after Marcus Rashford’s first-half strike.
Lallana was the impact sub who made the most telling contribution to the game. But it was another sub – Keita – who received lots of praise from Liverpool fans on social media for his performance.
Keita makes a difference

The Guinea international has been plagued by injuries since joining from Red Bull Leipzig in summer 2018. This season has been frustrating but he is now back and showed fans what he can do.
Keita picked the ball up from deep and looked to move it quickly. Then, he helped to create the goal. Keita received the ball in the middle of the park and found Andrew Robertson unmarked on the left flank. The Scotsman whipped in a low cross and Lallana tapped in.
Liverpool fans were quick to praise Keita’s energy and impact after the game. Here are some tweets discussing the 24-year-old’s impact.
Henderson – 26 passes completed in 71 minutes
Keïta – 22 passes in 8 minutes
The mantra of picking the ball up deep, carrying it & playing a probing a pass or recycling is what Keïta has in abundance

Loved how for the goal, he waited and checked his surroundings before passing it to Robbo. Very few of our players hesitate before picking out Robbo/ Trent. Definitely made a huge impact

He needs to start ahead of Henderson and show he’s worthy of wearing that no.8 shirt

Brilliant player …. stay fit and see him dominate teams.

He looked simply sublime in possession.

He is the key ? to unlock teams that plays defensively. Still wondering why klopp hasn’t realised that by now
