Liverpool striker Divock Origi’s injury is not as bad as first feared. Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Origi will only miss one or two weeks with an ankle injury, .
In Saturday’s win over Newcastle United, Origi had to be replaced in the first half. Roberto Firmino came on in his place and Rhian Brewster has now taken Origi’s spot in Liverpool’s 20-man squad to travel to Napoli on Tuesday.

Talking about Origi’s injury, Klopp confirmed that it is not serious. Klopp said (): “The update on Div is that it is not too serious. We expect him [to be out for] between one and two weeks, but it depends a little bit on when he can deal with the pain. It is nothing really; it’s a feeling, but it should be fine.”
The 24-year-old will be absent for the trip to Napoli and is likely to miss the away game against Chelsea next Sunday. In his absence, Firmino will have to play more games but Brewster might finally get his chance.
Here are some fans reacting to Origi’s injury update.

I’m happy it’s a short spell it bummed it will be during a period Divock could realistically have gotten a run of games: Newcastle being one, but then also Dons and Sheffield soon after. ?
