‘How has this just come out?’: Liverpool fans react to reports on Divock Origi contract

Liverpool fans have been giving their reaction on social media after reports emerged this weekend about the contract details surrounding Divock Origi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Reds pair are among a group of players who the Reds could well lose in the coming transfer windows. The Ox has 18 months left to run on his deal, while Origi is out of contract in the summer. has reported, with quotes from Jurgen Klopp, that both Origi and Oxlade-Chamberlain could be moved on soon.

But while the news around Oxlade-Chamberlain is no surprise, some Liverpool fans are a bit baffled by the reports on Origi and his deal. As some on Twitter have pointed out, Origi only .

However, it is believed the contract runs until 2022, where Liverpool then have an option to extend based on Origi’s contributions to the first-team.

Liverpool fans, then, have been having their say on Origi’s future on Twitter, with some believing the Belgian should be kept around and others believing it’s time to move on.
