Liverpool fans react to Danny Murphy’s Jack Grealish comments

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to slam Danny Murphy after the former Red that Jack Grealish would get into Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of Naby Keita.

Despite Aston Villa’s struggles since their return to the Premier League, Grealish has been excellent. He has scored six goals and contributed five assists for Dean Smith’s men.

It would be no surprise if an England debut was just around the corner for the 24-year-old. And if Villa go down, it seems inevitable that the attacking midfielder will get the chance to jump ship.

Murphy expressed his belief that Grealish would be capable of making an impact in any squad in the Premier League. And he went on to suggest that the Reds would improve with the Villa man in their side.

: “Even though Liverpool are currently well-stocked for midfielders, what if Gini Wijnaldum doesn’t sign a new contract and James Milner gets to a certain age?

“Could Jack do the hard yards Jurgen Klopp demands? Yes. Would I have him ahead of Naby Keita for example? Yes.”

Murphy may feel that Liverpool would benefit by signing Grealish. But it is clear that many of the Anfield faithful do not agree with their former midfielder.

Plenty have slammed the suggestion that he would get into the side ahead of Keita. And some are adamant that Grealish is not good enough for the Reds.
