Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Neco Williams’ display

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Neco Williams’s performance during their defeat to Fulham – with some feeling that he produced one of the more positive displays from the champions.

It proved to be another hugely disappointing day for Jurgen Klopp’s men. They were beaten 1-0 by the strugglers at Anfield.

Unsurprisingly, a number of players proved to be extremely poor. Scott Parker’s side were able to cause a number of problems. And the home side struggled to produce anything like the quality they needed in the final third.

Several members of the squad came in for criticism on social media during the game. Admittedly, Williams was amongst them. He did struggle to cope with Ademola Lookman at times.

However, the Wales international also received some credit from the supporters. And some suggested that others may have been too harsh in their assessments of the academy graduate.

He did threaten to make things happen down Liverpool’s right flank. The 19-year-old regularly made himself available and did create a couple of opportunities for his teammates.

His quality may have been lacking at times. But many felt that his work-rate deserved some acknowledgement. And on a day in which no Liverpool player really stepped up, he was considered, by some, to be one of their better performers.
