Liverpool fans react as Wolves reportedly want Divock Origi

The January transfer window is in full flow and rumours are flying around left, right and centre. One of today’s rumours sees Liverpool striker Divock Origi linked with a move to Wolves.

It seems unlikely that the Reds will do any major incoming business, with the summer likely to be the time for them to pursue big-money targets.

Wolves could take a different stance, however, and might look to bolster their squad with one or two big names this month.

have claimed that the uncompromising Belgian is still on the radar of Molineux chiefs, having previously held an interest.

Origi is paid £45,000-a-week at Anfield and that wage should fit nicely within the structure in place at Wolves.

It does seem unlikely that Liverpool will want to sell their powerful striker, however. He scored some desperately important goals last season, including one in the Champions League Final, and is a real fan favourite.

Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter on the back of this news.

It’s fair to say they aren’t overly keen on Liverpool sanctioning a sale and hope that Wolves will be knocked back.

Here is a selection of tweets from Reds supporters in response to news of Wolves interest in Origi.
