Liverpool fans react as Takumi Minamino joins Southampton on loan
Southampton left it late but they did manage to get a deal to sign Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino over the line on transfer deadline day.
The Japan international was allowed to leave Anfield on loan until the end of the season, after struggling for regular opportunities at the champions.
Minamino, 26, has started just twice in the Premier League and scored in the 7-0 rout of Crystal Palace back in December.
With Jurgen Klopp boasting a plethora of talent the versatile forward has found his opportunities restricted.
Now he will have the chance to kick-start his Premier League career under Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Despite Liverpool having lots of options in attack, some fans have taken to Twitter to discuss whether this move is such a good idea.
Some of the fan base feel as though he should have been kept around Anfield for the remainder of the season.
Minamino has 26 caps for his country and 12 international goals to his name.
Prior to signing for Liverpool for , he fired 64 goals in 199 appearances for Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Here is what Reds supporters are saying after the maestro checked out on loan.
Anyone else mind blown 🤯 by this Minamino situation?? 😱 had a smashing game against Palace in December, been benched and ignored ever since?? 😳 – poor lad! Hope he gets some decent game time at Saints; his treatment seems brutal so far

This is a huge mistakes. He’s gonna be a success like Ings. But i’m glad it’s just a loan. Take care of him. Thanks

Please play him. Despite performing excellently whenever he got a few mins on the pitch, Klopp outright refused to select him even when our front 3 were out. Scored V Palace before Christmas but not seen him since. Bulk him up a bit too.

He will have an impact on you trust me. Hes gonna help you a lot. It was just too early for him at LFC. I wish he will score goals like Ingsy did for you. Good luck guys!

Brilliant signing that will be class for you is Hassenhuttl treats him better than Klopp has which I'm sure he will.
