Liverpool fans react as Romano identifies player Reds would ‘love’ to make their next new signing
that Liverpool would ‘love’ to sign Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma – and Reds fans have reacted.
Danjuma, 24, was linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer. But Villarreal stole in, luring him to La Liga – and it is a move that has paid off.
The three-time Netherlands international is on fire – having a hand in nine goals during his 15 appearances. Scoring seven, he has laid on two assists.
Two his seven goals have come in four Champions League outings, as Villarreal look to get out of a group that includes Manchester United.
Despite it only being a matter of months since being linked with Liverpool and choosing Villarreal, Romano says there is still interest from Anfield.
Speaking to his podcast, Romano stated that Liverpool still want Danjuma – and that there are some at Liverpool who ‘love’ the winger.
What are Liverpool fans saying about Danjuma, ahead of January?
Danjuma did not play for Bournemouth this season before Villarreal – meaning he could play for Liverpool in 21-22, if a January move occurred.
But Romano does state in the piece that a move is unlikely in January. Unsurprising, given Villarreal only just penned him down until 2026.
Next summer, though, perhaps presents a more realistic chance for Liverpool to sign Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum’s Dutch teammate.
