Liverpool fans react as Newcastle reportedly eye Harry Wilson
Newcastle United are reportedly keen on taking Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson on loan this summer as The Toon look to the loan market – and Liverpool fans have reacted to Newcastle’s interest in the Welsh ace.
The Toon’s Saudi-backed takeover now looks as though it will not be completed, despite a widely-signed petition against the Premier League’s handling of the situation. Mike Ashley is set to remain in ownership.
Ashley has pledged £35million towards transfers this summer, as well as anything raised through player sales. Though a decent figure, the Toon are also expected to enter the loan market.

Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher has been identified as per the report after excellent spells with Swansea and Charlton last season. Wilson – who is rated at £30million by Liverpool – is also a target.
The Wales international impressed at Bournemouth last term – and Derby and Hull before that – though failed to prevent the Cherries from being relegated. He still has three years remaining on his contract.
Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to Newcastle’s reported interest in Wilson as they look to sign the Wales international on loan. Some suggested a swap for Allan Saint-Maximin, while others want a permanent sale.
